Job Description : Responsibilities :

IIS Server Administration :

  • Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) servers.
  • Manage and troubleshoot IIS configurations, including application pools, virtual directories, websites, and web applications.
  • Optimize IIS performance for high traffic and scalability.

Windows Server Management :

  • Administer and maintain Windows Server operating systems.
  • Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy related to IIS servers.
  • Install and configure server roles and features.

    • Monitoring and Troubleshooting :

  • Implement and maintain server monitoring solutions (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, SCOM).
  • Proactively monitor server performance, disk space, and other critical metrics.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve server and application issues in a timely manner.
  • Analyze log files to identify and resolve problems.

    • Automation and Scripting :

  • Automate routine tasks using PowerShell scripting.
  • Develop and maintain scripts for server configuration, deployment, and management.
  • Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) and Standards :
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of server configurations, procedures, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and industry best practices.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).

    • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an IIS Server Administrator.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) 7.x / 8.x / 10.x.
  • Extensive experience with Windows Server administration (e.g., Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022).
  • Proficiency in managing Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
  • Experience with .NET Framework, ASP.NET, and web application deployment.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP / IP, HTTP, DNS, and load balancing.
  • Experience with server monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, SCOM).
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation.
  • Knowledge of security best practices for web servers and applications.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSE, MCSA).
  • Experience with web application firewalls (WAFs) such as Imperva or F5.
  • Experience with load balancing technologies (e.g., F5, Citrix).
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and IIS in the cloud.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
