Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager Backend to lead, mentor, and scale our backend engineering team. The ideal candidate brings a deep technical background, a passion for system design and scalability, and proven leadership experience in building high-performance backend systems. This role will be pivotal in shaping our technical roadmap, driving architectural excellence, and ensuring seamless execution across multiple backend projects.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead and manage a team of backend engineers, fostering technical excellence, accountability, and growth.
• Architect and oversee the development of scalable, secure, and high-performing backend systems and APIs.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Frontend, and AI teams to align engineering execution with business objectives.
• Define and enforce engineering best practices, including code reviews, CI / CD, and testing strategies.
• Drive architectural decisions and long-term technical vision for backend services.
• Optimize performance, reliability, and scalability across distributed systems.
• Own technical delivery timelines, resource allocation, and cross-team dependencies.
• Contribute hands-on to critical design and code reviews where necessary.
• Mentor engineers through regular 1 : 1s, career growth discussions, and technical guidance.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and guide adoption of modern tools and frameworks.
