Automation Engineer

Our client is seeking an Automation Engineer in India for a 6-month contract opportunity. This is a remote role.

Professional Experience

4+ years in QA or software development, including :

2+ years focused on building, maintaining, and executing automated tests in enterprise environments

Proven ability to design / manage automation frameworks for UI, API, performance, and regression

Demonstrated experience with :

Appium (mobile), Postman (API)

Scripting : Python, Java, JavaScript / TypeScript, C#, or Shell

Source control & integration : Git, GitHub

CI / CD : Azure DevOps, GitLab, or Bamboo

Reporting & test runners : Allure, TestNG, JUnit, Zephyr (integration)

Core competencies :

Automation design patterns, BDD / TDD

Data-driven / keyword-driven suites

Environment config & virtualized / containerized execution (Docker, Selenium Grid, BrowserStack)

Strong troubleshooting and analysis

Collaboration in Agile / DevOps teams

Clean, reusable code and maintainable framework design

Certifications

Required (at least one) :

ISTQB Certified Tester – Test Automation Engineer

Selenium WebDriver certification (reputable provider)

Certified Agile Tester (CAT)
