Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Product Manager (Footwear) who can lead the end-to-end product development process — from concept design to production readiness — and manage design, vendor sourcing, assembling, development timelines, and product quality.
This role will work closely with consultants, designers, and factory partners to deliver internationally competitive footwear lines for Methyz.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Development :
- Translate design concepts into production-ready prototypes.
- Work closely with designers to finalize materials, construction methods, and finishes.
- Sourcing & Manufacturing :
- Identify and evaluate potential sourcing factories (Rubber, EVA and other materials).
- Develop strong supplier relationships and ensure timely, quality-assured deliveries.
- Negotiate costing, minimum order quantities, and lead times.
- Manage Assembling Line and Warehouse
- Production Readiness :
- Coordinate sampling, testing, and refinement of new styles.
- Establish production specs and manage pre-production approvals.
- Quality & Development Lab Oversight :
- Set up and manage in-house or partner development labs for material testing and quality checks.
- Monitor vendor QC systems to align with brand standards.
- Planning & Timelines :
- Create and track product development calendars and critical path schedules.
- Liaise between design, marketing, and operations teams to ensure smooth handoffs.
Preferred Background
5–10 years of experience in footwear product development or sourcing (Rubber, EVA, sandals, flip-flops, or similar).Background in product design / industrial design / footwear technology preferred.Strong understanding of materials, moulds, and manufacturing processes .Proven ability to work with external factories and manage multi-location sourcing.Strong eye for design detail and product finish.Ability to work hands-on with samples, technical drawings, and production teams.Key Traits
Design appreciation with a commercial mindset.Detail-oriented and process-driven.Independent, proactive, and comfortable with travel to supplier locations.Strong communication and documentation skills.
