Role Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to support our accounting and finance operations in a chemical trading environment. The ideal candidate should be proficient in data entry, possess advanced Excel skills, and have a basic understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform accurate and timely data entry of purchase, sales, and expense transactions.
- Maintain and update ledgers, vouchers, and supporting documentation.
- Assist in reconciling bank statements and vendor / customer accounts.
- Prepare and maintain Excel reports, summaries, and analysis sheets for management.
- Support the preparation of invoices, debit / credit notes, and payment follow-ups.
- Coordinate with the accounts team for GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances.
- Ensure proper filing and record-keeping of accounting documents.
Skills & Qualifications
Graduate in Commerce or equivalent qualification.Proficient in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, formulas, data validation, etc.)Basic knowledge of accounting concepts and entries.Good typing speed and attention to detail.Working knowledge of accounting software (Tally / ERP or similar) preferred.Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
