What you will do
- Supports static equipment engineering needs across Projects and Operations organization.
- Stewardship of engineering work quality, effectiveness, and efficiency.
- Supports technical evaluations to address issues with equipment and system design, operation, and maintenance.
- Provides pertinent engineering expertise to Root Cause Failure Analysis.
- Reviews project and contractor deliverables as requested to ensure compliance with project specifications, Design Practices, Static Equipment Toolkit guidance, and best practices. Documents to be reviewed may include Piping & Instrument Diagrams, equipment arrangements, equipment specifications, data sheets, vendor proposals, and technical studies.
- Participates in design reviews, risk assessments, HAZOPs, vendor qualification, and vendor bid evaluations as requested.
- Coordination of communication between different stakeholders in Projects and Operations organization. Coordination of teleconferences and management of communication and reporting tools (, SharePoint, Meridium, SAP, and Business Focus).
- Supports functional initiatives and maintains discipline documentation pertinent to company facilities.
- Provides technical mentorship to early-career professionals, with emphasis in areas of identified skill gaps.
- Participates in internal networks through which their capabilities can be disseminated to the benefit of others.
- Maintains current knowledge (, through participation in industry conferences / forums) while proactively growing discipline’s technical expertise in pertinent technologies on continuous basis.
About You
Skills and Qualifications :
Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Degree from recognized university with minimum GPA or aboveMinimum 5 years’ of experience in responsible roles in static equipment Engineering or design of pressure equipment and storage tanks, and coordination of engineering surveillance activities for projects in the Oil and Gas IndustryMinimum of 5 years of experience in upstream or downstream oil & gas, refining, petrochemical, LNG, or related industries.Broad and extensive knowledge of Static Equipment Industry design standards, specifications, codes, and safety criteria.Design, fabrication & construction experience in Atmospheric, pressurized storage tanks and spheres; external, internal floating roofs and geodesic dome roofsExperience in design of API 650, EN 14015 & API 620 storage tanks.Preferred Qualifications / Experiences
Design, fabrication & construction experience in Pressure vessels, process columns, reactor and heat exchangersFamiliarity with pressure equipment rerate and repair assessments per API 510 and NBIC.Experience of engineering assessment of existing storage tanks including Level 1 & 2 FFS, rerating and application of API 653 / EEMUA 159Practical experience of storage tank repair, including the development of work scopes and repair optionsDemonstrable experience in troubleshooting storage tank integrity issuesKnowledgeable of mechanical properties and degradation mechanisms for common materials of construction such as carbon steel, low chrome and nickel alloy steels, austenitic stainless steel, etc.Onshore and offshore facilities design; along with direct experience working onsite in oil & gas facilities.Strong organizational, management, and technical judgment skills.Good understanding of Project Life cycle and department interfaces.Good understanding of Plant Operations priorities.Your benefits
