Windows Server Administrator

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Windows Server Administrator to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Bengaluru, offering flexibility for some work from home. As a Windows Server Administrator, you will be a critical member of our IT infrastructure team, responsible for the reliable and efficient operation of our Windows server environment. Your extensive experience will be crucial in ensuring system stability, security, and :

• Install, configure, maintain, and monitor Windows servers, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
• Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues related to Windows servers and related systems in a timely and effective manner.
• Provide expert-level technical support for server-related incidents and requests, collaborating with other IT teams as necessary.
• Plan, test, and implement security patches and software updates to Windows servers and related infrastructure to maintain a secure environment.
• Apply a strong understanding of TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN to effectively manage server connectivity and network-related issues.
• Implement and maintain security measures, including firewall rules and intrusion detection systems, to protect the server environment from threats.
• Manage and maintain virtualized environments using Hyper-V and VMware, ensuring efficient resource utilization and high availability.
• Administer and maintain Windows server environments and related services on Microsoft Azure and AWS platforms.
• Utilize PowerShell scripting to automate routine administrative tasks, improve efficiency, and ensure consistency.
• Implement and utilize System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) to proactively monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and configure alerts.
• Develop, implement, and test robust backup and recovery strategies to ensure business continuity and data integrity in case of system failures or disasters.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of server configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Work effectively with other IT team members, including network engineers, security specialists, and application developers, to ensure seamless IT operations.
• Monitor server resource utilization and participate in capacity planning activities to ensure the infrastructure can support future growth.
• Adhere to company policies and industry best practices related to server administration and and Experience :
• Graduation in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology).
• Minimum of 16 years of hands-on experience in Windows Server Administration.
• Proven expertise in managing and troubleshooting Windows Server operating systems (various versions).
• Strong understanding and practical experience with TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
• Significant experience in configuring and managing firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
• Extensive experience with virtualization technologies, specifically Hyper-V and VMware.
• Hands-on experience in managing Windows server environments and services on Microsoft Azure and / or AWS.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and system management.
• Experience in implementing and utilizing System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) for monitoring and alerting.
• Demonstrated experience in implementing and managing various backup solutions and developing comprehensive disaster recovery plans.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in a high-pressure environment.
