Java Automation Test Engineer

THIS IS A LONG TERM [7+ Months] CONTRACT POSITION WITH ONE OF THE LARGEST, GLOBAL, TECHNOLOGY LEADER . Candidate must be present in the Pune office whenever there are team meetings, that would happen ~once a month.

We are looking for a Senior Software Test Engineer to join our dynamic QA team in Pune. In this role, you will take ownership of backend API automation and help define quality assurance strategies for cloud-based software used by millions globally. What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 4–7 years of experience in test automation, especially for backend services.
• Strong hands-on skills in Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Experience with REST API automation tools like Rest Assured, Karate, etc.
• Proficiency in BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or JBehave.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter.
• Experience with CI / CD tools (Jenkins), version control (Git), and issue tracking (Jira).
• Strong understanding of the testing pyramid and a passion for quality.
