Position Overview :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated QA Tester to join our dynamic product development team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our cutting-edge SaaS platform. As a QA Tester, you will perform manual testing to identify, document, and track software defects. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to help deliver a seamless and high-quality user experience. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, a passion for quality, and is proficient in using project management tools like Jira and ClickUp.

Any experience of testing applications on smart wearables will be ab added advantage.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs) :

Test Execution & Analysis :

Execute manual test cases for new features, enhancements, and bug fixes across web and mobile platforms.

Perform thorough regression testing to ensure that new code changes do not negatively impact existing functionalities.

Conduct smoke and sanity testing on new builds before they are released to further testing environments.

Identify, analyze, and document software defects with clear and concise steps to reproduce them.

Defect Management & Reporting :

Log, track, and manage defects and tasks using Jira and ClickUp.

Clearly communicate the impact and priority of defects to the development and product teams.

Verify bug fixes implemented by the development team and close resolved tickets.

Documentation & Collaboration :

Create and maintenance of test cases and test plans based on product requirements and user stories.

Provide feedback on usability, user experience (UX), and design to help improve the overall product.

Actively participate in team meetings, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint retrospectives.

Collaborate effectively with developers to reproduce issues and with product managers to understand requirements.

Minimum Educational Qualification :

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Equivalent practical experience or relevant certifications will also be considered.

Required Technical Skills & Competencies :

Technical Skills :

Mandatory : Proven experience and high proficiency in using project management and bug-tracking tools, specifically Jira and ClickUp.

Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).

Knowledge of different manual testing types, including functional, non-functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Experience in testing web, mobile applications across different browsers and operating systems and wearable smart glasses.

Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive bug reports and test cases.

Familiarity with browser developer tools for basic debugging (e.G., inspecting elements, checking console errors).

Soft Skills :

Exceptional attention to detail and a meticulous approach to testing.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

A curious mindset with a strong desire to learn new technologies and processes.

Bonus / Preferred Skills :

Basic understanding of APIs and experience with tools like Postman.

Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodologies.

Any experience of testing applications on smart wearables will be ab added advantage.

Any exposure to test automation concepts or tools (e.G., Selenium, Cypress) is a plus.
