Job Title : Mainframe DB2 Developer

Experience : 4-10 Years

Location : Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune

Job Description :

• Hands-on experience in Mainframe application development
• Strong programming skills in COBOL
• Deep knowledge of DB2 (Database design, performance tuning, SQL, and stored procedures)
• Good hands-on experience with JCL and VSAM
• Experience with Endevor / Changeman or any version control tools on mainframe
• Strong skills in writing and optimizing complex DB2 SQL queries
• Solid understanding of Batch and Online processing
• Proficient in Unit Testing and debugging mainframe applications
• Minimum 4 years of Mainframe knowledge including JCL, CICS, CA7
• Minimum 4+ of experience in QA background with experience in Testing Life Cycle.
• QA background in mainframes and confident working with cross functional teams and with customers to understand business and technical requirements.
• Should be capable of working individually with minimal supervision.
• Should have experience in integration testing.
• Experience in defect management tool like Jira and Xray.
• Work hand-in-hand with the development team, architects and leads.
• Verify Data reconciliation, error handling, Error logging mechanisms.
• Experience in SQL
• Exposure to CICS and mainframe screen development
• Experience in working with IMS DB / DC
• Familiarity with Mainframe modernization or re-engineering projects
• Experience with Agile or DevOps environments
• Knowledge of Rexx, CLIST, ISPF panels
• Experience with tools like IBM Debug Tool, SPUFI, QMF, File-AID
• Awareness of cloud integration strategies with Mainframe (optional but advantageous)
• Knowledge of ServiceNow, Jira, or other ITSM tools
• Experience in test scripting, execution and scheduling.
• Understanding of automation test principles.
