To facilitate this transformation, a new Business Operations Business Unit is being established, bringing together existing business service activities, and driving further expansion of centralized services at scale into a global unit, with a focus on driving simplification, efficiency, and productivity.
This new Business Unit will enable the delivery of best-in-class business support capabilities across the organization, incorporating and engaging disparate teams from across areas such as R&D, M&S, the Corporate Functions and GBUs into new global Service Delivery Towers with initial services spanning Commercial, Finance, Procurement and People & Culture.
About the job
Reporting to the Source-to-Pay (S2P) Global Service Owner, the Global Process Lead, Budget to Source plays a critical role in the development, execution, and transformation of Sanofi’s Source to Pay strategy. As Global Process Lead, Budget to Source, the incumbent will be responsible for the design, development, and governance of the organizations Budget to Source process, a key L2 process in the organizations Source to Pay core model. They bear the responsibility for establishing a world-class process, fostering simplification and standardization, exploiting automation, and ensuring a seamless user experience.
Our Team :
Lead a team of 3 Global Process Experts driving a best-in-class design for the end-to-end Procurement process from Strategic COGS Budget Planning, Category Management, Supplier Management to Sourcing.
Strategic Planning & Budget : Optimize existing COGS budget, pricing, forecasting and savings process to support Manufacturing & Supply as well as Finance teams in P&L generation.
Category Strategy : Enabling Procurement Domains and Categories by investigating into a tool-supported strategy process and by supporting to deliver relevant data for Procurement strategies.
Supplier Management : Develop today’s Supplier Management framework into a best-in-class model. Enable automated feeding of Procurement teams with relevant supplier information.
Sourcing : Enable a best-in-class Sourcing process leveraging Coupa Sourcing Module. Ensure that outsourced support to Procurement is provided in globally consistent and efficient way.
Main responsibilities :
Process
Define process and scope of end-to-end Procurement process from Strategic COGS Budget Planning, Category Management, Supplier Management to Sourcing.
Define target on future process scope in line with market best practice.
Standardize and harmonize ways of working.
Overseeing Core Model deployment in regions.
Continuously improve core model design and documents, delivering compliance, efficiency, and positive user experience as per SBO project methodology.
Review change requests and exceptions to the Core Model for approval / rejection
Stakeholder Management & Governance
Manage stakeholders and neighboring functions + active peer exchanges.
Lead efficient partnering / governance model with Sanofi stakeholders (User Boards) and within Procurement Services.
Project Management
Lead and support the execution of core model improvement initiatives / projects for which subject matter expertise is required.
Develops and manages overall project timelines, risks, issues, and escalations.
Technology
Sets process and technology standards for the end-to-end processes.
Understand market trends and best-in-class solutions.
Provide options to drive automation as part of continuous improvement.
Performance Reporting
Setup global KPIs in line with market best-practice.
Oversee implementation of KPIs in respective regions.
Monitor KPI targets and provide guidance to regional service lines on deviations.
Create reporting packages where appropriate for regions (if appropriate).
About you
Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Proven experience (5+ year) in Source-to-Pay or Procure-to-Pay process ownership role.
Demonstrated experience in process optimization, standardization, and change management.
Strong understanding of S2P processes at scale in a global context.
Experience in implementing source-to-pay technology solutions (e.g., e-procurement, spend analytics).
International experience working with diverse cultures and global teams.
Soft skills :
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate strategy into actionable plans.
Effective communicator with the ability to influence to drive adoption of standardized S2P processes.
Education :
Master’s degree in business administration or a related field.
Professional certifications such as Certified Procurement Professional (CPP) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP).
Languages :
Fluent in English (spoken and written).
