The Role : We are looking for a
hands-on and detail-oriented Chartered Accountant
with strong experience in
Accounts Payable (AP)
and
Accounts Receivable (AR)
management to join our finance team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor payments, customer invoicing, reconciliations, and reporting in line with organizational policies and accounting standards.
Prior experience in a
manufacturing or start-up environment
will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities :
Accounts Payable (AP) :
Manage end-to-end vendor payments cycle – invoice verification, approvals, booking, and timely disbursement.
Ensure accuracy in vendor coding, GST applicability, and adherence to internal controls.
Handle vendor reconciliations, advances, debit notes, and expense booking.
Monitor ageing of payables and support cash flow planning.
Coordinate with procurement and operations teams for resolving invoice or PO discrepancies.
Accounts Receivable (AR) :
Generate and post customer invoices accurately and on time.
Track collections and ensure timely follow-up for overdue payments.
Perform customer account reconciliations and maintain proper documentation.
Record and apply customer receipts against invoices.
Prepare AR ageing reports and assist in credit control management.
General Accounting & Reporting :
Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals and reconciliations.
Support in preparation of MIS reports, cash flow statements, and other financial summaries.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (GST, TDS, etc.) and support during audits.
Identify opportunities to streamline AP / AR processes and improve working capital efficiency.
Qualifications :
Chartered Accountant mandatory.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GST, and TDS.
Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP / Tally / NetSuite / Zoho).
Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and reconciliation skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
