Job Summary :
This role within the Business Development (BD) function will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of tender participation, coordinating with statutory bodies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and contributing to the development pipeline through strategic project origination initiatives.
Roles and Responsibilities :
Tender Management :
Proactively track all relevant tenders across utility and C&I segments issued by REIAs, DISCOMs, and state agencies.Analyze RfS, RfP, and bid documents to identify risks, technical specifications, and eligibility criteria.Prepare bid submissions in coordination with internal stakeholders, attending pre bid conference, and manage e-tender portals, reverse auction processes (e-RA), ensure timely submission of all pre- and post-bid documents.Coordination for activities including issuance of LoAs, PPA signing, and post-bid compliances.Maintain detailed MIS reports and ensure regular communication with REIAs, DISCOMs, and tendering authorities, including submission of regular project progress reports and attending review meeting.Preparation of investment proposal for utility bid projects.Business Development :
Securing critical permits and approvals for RE project development,Support in strategic sale or acquisition of development projects.Support in signing land development agreements to secure project exclusivity;Conducting site visits and ensuring diligence in all possible aspects of projects to deliver on a risk mitigated growth strategyRegulatory :
Understanding of regulatory aspects related to utility scale, power market, business development, project implementation :Preparation and submission of applications for RE project construction approvals including PPAs, Grid Connection approvals - coordination with relevant agencies.Interact with various statutory bodies including MNRE, CEA, MoP, SECI, NTPC, NHPC, SJVN, PGCIL, and Industry associations SPDA, WIPPA, NSEFI etcTracking all relevant development in regulatory sphere.Key Skills & Requirements :
Strong understanding of India's RE policy framework, tendering ecosystem, and power market dynamics.Excellent coordination, analytical, and documentation skills.Proficiency in MS Excel, and tendering platforms (e-procurement portals).Effective communication and stakeholder management with both internal teams and external agencies.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.Qualifications and Skills :
BE / BTech Preferably from NITs in India with 5-12 years of experience, Renewable experience is mandatory.
