The Opportunity :

We're seeking a talented and driven Kong Mesh Engineer to spearhead the design, implementation, and management of our service mesh infrastructure, powered by Kong Mesh (based on Kuma). You'll be at the forefront of enabling secure, scalable, and observable communication between our mission-critical microservices, all within a fast-paced banking domain environment. What You'll Be Doing :

• Architect, deploy, and maintain our Kong Mesh infrastructure, ensuring seamless service-to-service communication across Kubernetes and hybrid environments.
• Dive deep into configuring and optimizing mesh features, including mutual TLS (mTLS), intelligent traffic routing, robust circuit breakers, precise rate limiting, and comprehensive observability.
• Become a trusted partner to our development teams and Site Reliability Engineers (SREs), guiding them through the journey of onboarding their applications onto the service mesh.
• Embrace automation! You'll build and refine our CI / CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to automate service mesh deployments and configurations.
• Keep a watchful eye on the mesh performance, proactively troubleshoot any hiccups, and fine-tune configurations to achieve peak efficiency.
• Champion security by implementing and enforcing mesh policies to ensure consistently secure communication between all microservices.
• Share your expertise by creating clear and comprehensive documentation for configurations, workflows, and best practices, empowering the entire organization.
