We are looking for a detail-oriented Design Engineer who can transform functional requirements into precise engineering designs. You will be responsible for developing innovative, manufacturable, and cost-effective product designs while collaborating with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Convert product specifications into 2D / 3D CAD models and technical drawings using tools like SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA.
- Participate in design reviews, FMEA, and tolerance analysis.
- Optimize designs for manufacturability, performance, and cost.
- Work closely with prototyping teams to validate concepts and iterate quickly.
- Ensure all design documentation complies with industry and internal standards.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers on component selection and feasibility.
- Conduct stress / thermal analysis and simulation (if required).
- Support design changes, updates, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, NX).Understanding of manufacturing processes (CNC, injection molding, sheet metal, etc.).Strong grasp of GD&T, materials, and DFM / DFA principles.Analytical thinking with a problem-solving mindset.Excellent communication and documentation skills.
