Job Summary
The Manual Tester will lead the testing efforts for a multi-module HR and workforce management platform. This role involves detailed manual testing across functional workflows, integrations, usability, and user behavior patterns. The tester will design structured test cases, execute comprehensive testing cycles, and ensure documentation of all issues with clarity and precision. The position requires a deep understanding of QA processes, the ability to analyze complex workflows, and strong coordination skills with product and development teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring product reliability, stability, and consistency across releases in a hybrid working environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Create detailed test plans, test cases, and traceability matrices for all modules.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Test multi-step workflows such as attendance, leave, productivity, onboarding, metadata, and task flows.
- Identify, document, and track defects with complete reproducible steps.
- Validate issues and coordinate with developers for retesting after fixes.
- Conduct cross-device, cross-browser, and environment-based testing.
- Review requirements to identify potential gaps and edge case scenarios.
- Prepare structured weekly reports, defect logs, and release readiness summaries.
- Participate in sprint planning, requirement discussions, and product walkthroughs.
- Ensure adherence to QA standards and maintain consistent test documentation.
Primary Skills
Strong knowledge of manual testing methodologies and QA processes.Ability to write clear test cases, test scenarios, and defect documentation.Experience testing workflow-based or multi-module applications.Hands-on experience with tools like JIRA, Trello, or similar issue trackers.Understanding of API-level verification and basic SQL queries for data validation.Strong analytical skills to interpret user behavior and system response.Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Strong understanding of software testing frameworks and defect lifecycle.Ability to independently manage structured testing cycles.Experience
3–7 years of experience in manual testing of enterprise, SaaS, or workflow-based systems.
