Job description

JOB DETAILS

Key contributor in the monthly, quarterly and annual close processes, including journal entries,

account reconciliations, accruals, reserve calculations and intercompany transactions

  • Responsible for accurate and timely submission of financial packages to Corporate on workday 2
  • Maintain US GAAP and local statutory books and records
  • Book daily cash entries and perform bank reconciliations monthly; assist with cash flow

management

  • Assist with the credit and collections process, including follow up with customers for past due

    • amounts

  • Assist the Accountant recording and paying account payables
  • Assist with preparation of monthly payroll, including employee travel expenses, gratuities, leave

    • salary, superannuation

  • Prepare and support the GST, TDS, PT & PF filings
  • Compliance with Corporate SOX controls and documentation
  • Assist with the quarterly physical inventory process
  • Maintain fixed assets, detailed asset and depreciation schedules. Review capital expenditures to

    • ensure proper classification

  • Review revenue transactions and document revenue testing per US GAAP reporting
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecast updates, using BPC
  • Assist with local and statutory reporting requirements, as needed
  • Assist with transition to SAP ERP system
  • Other ad hoc projects, as requested

    • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance / CA / ICWA / CFA / CPA or equivalent.
  • 4-8 years of accounting experience in a public company
  • Understanding of US GAAP and SOX internal controls, experience with audits
  • Profound knowledge of India accounting standards and local reporting requirements
  • Strong experience and working knowledge of ERP systems. SAP and BPC preferred.
  • Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong MS Office proficiency with excellent Excel skills
  • Having Tally Software knowledge is preferrable
