About This Role
We're looking for a passionate Pastry Chef who appreciates tradition keeping in mind our heritage and routes. As part of a growing startup, you’ll have the opportunity to produce dessert offerings from the ground up and shape a unique culinary identity that complements Benne’s heritage Bangalore experience.
Key Responsibilities
Execute a limited dessert menu that aligns with Benne’s ethos—rooted in tradition, crafted with creativity.
Prepare a variety of Indian desserts with a little bit of creativity applying halwai skills as well as pastry while maintaining consistent quality and scale.
Ensure high standards of hygiene, kitchen organization, and food safety (FSSAI compliance).
Manage daily production and inventory.
Train and guide junior staff and contribute to building kitchen processes for a fast-growing startup.
Collaborate with the culinary and operations teams for menu launches, events and brand initiatives.
Requirements
Diploma / Degree in Bakery & Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts, or Hospitality.
1–2 years of experience in pastry roles (restaurant, bakery, hotel, or café).
Strong foundation in pastry techniques with a flair for creative, culturally inspired desserts.
Ice cream experience is a bonus.
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment with a hands-on approach.
Attention to detail, strong work ethic, and an eye for presentation.
Excellent communication, time management, and multitasking skills.
A calm, people-first approach and genuine love for hospitality
Compensation
Negotiable, based on experience.
