Job Title : Network Security Engineer

Qualification : Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field or higher with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.

Job Description : Network Monitoring :

oUse network monitoring tools to track uptime latency and packet loss for Fortnite servers and related infrastructure.

oRespond promptly to alerts and service requests.

First-Level Troubleshooting :

oDiagnose basic connectivity issues (e.g. DNS DHCP TCP / IP problems).

oFollow predefined scripts and escalation protocols for unresolved issues.

Configuration Assistance :

oAssist in deploying and configuring network hardware / software under senior engineer guidance.

oMaintain accurate network documentation and schematics.

Incident Management :

oLog incidents in ticketing systems and escalate complex issues to L2 / L3 teams.

oCommunicate status updates to internal teams and stakeholders.

Routine Maintenance :

oPerform scheduled checks apply patches and verify network health.

oSupport game updates and maintenance windows to minimize downtime.

User Support :

oProvide basic technical assistance to internal teams and game operations staff.

oHelp troubleshoot connectivity issues for live events or seasonal updates.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science IT or related field (or equivalent experience).

Basic understanding of networking concepts : TCP / IP DNS DHCP VLANs.

Familiarity with tools like Wireshark SolarWinds or similar monitoring platforms.

Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced 24 / 7 gaming environment.

Preferred Certifications

CompTIA Network or Cisco CCNA.

Exposure to cloud networking (AWS GCP) is a plus.

Soft Skills

Customer service orientation.

Attention to detail and documentation accuracy.

Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps Security).

Behavioural Competencies :

Proven experience of delivering process efficiencies and improvements

Clear and fluent English (both verbal and written)

Ability to build and maintain efficient working relationships with remote teams

Demonstrate ability to take ownership of and accountability for relevant products and services

Ability to plan prioritize and complete your own work whilst remaining a team player

Willingness to engage with and work in other technologies
