Job Summary :
The AI Governance SME will lead the development and implementation of governance frameworks for artificial intelligence systems, ensuring ethical, secure, and compliant AI adoption across the organization. This role requires deep expertise in AI risk management, policy development, and regulatory compliance, particularly in high-stakes environments such as defense, healthcare, or finance.
Key Responsibilities :
Governance Frameworks : Develop and implement AI governance structures aligned with industry standards and organizational policies.
Risk Management : Identify and mitigate risks associated with AI model deployment, including data privacy, security, and ethical concerns.
Policy Development : Draft and maintain AI-related policies, procedures, and compliance documentation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work with legal, cybersecurity, data science, and compliance teams to ensure AI systems meet ethical and regulatory standards.
Lifecycle Oversight : Monitor AI model lifecycle for transparency, accountability, and bias mitigation.
Ethical AI Implementation : Guide the organization in adopting Responsible AI principles, including fairness, explainability, and trustworthiness.
Training & Awareness : Conduct workshops and training sessions on AI governance and ethical AI practices.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Ethics, Law, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
12+ years of experience in AI governance, risk management, or policy development.
Strong understanding of AI / ML technologies and their ethical implications.
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, NIST AI RMF, and DoD AI policies.
Experience with bias mitigation, algorithmic transparency, and model interpretability.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
