Annual Salary : Market rate and negotiable for the right candidate

Qualifications : Trade Qualified Fitter & Turner - Must be hands on (the role is 80% hands-on and leading people with 20% office work)

Our client is seeking an Engineering / Maintenance Manager who is a trade qualified fitter to lead a team of 15 - 20 people and support a production team of 40 - 50 working across 3 shifts, over 6 days.

Organisational skills, team leading, people skills, a hands-on attitude / operating style, high mechanical aptitude and continuous improvement mindset are essential for this role.Ideally, you will have a solid background and work experience in the metals manufacturing field or in an industry with a similar manufacturing process to metals (heating & cooling) which will help with understanding the current equipment they have (furnaces) and how to continuously improve the factory to support production & sales.

If you are the type of person to get your hands dirty, happy to get your head in the weeds with detail whilst problem-solving, fix minor peanut problems as well as dream and think big... this could be the right role for you, if you're the right candidate there could be some free craft beer in it for you too!
