Job Summary :
The F&B Service Associate is responsible for providing an excellent dining experience by serving guests efficiently, maintaining service standards, and ensuring smooth restaurant operations. The role requires good communication, a guest-friendly attitude, and strong knowledge of F&B service procedures.
Key Responsibilities : Guest Service
- Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables.
- Present menus, explain items, and provide recommendations when needed.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen / bar.
- Serve food and beverages with proper etiquette and sequence of service.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by checking on guests and responding promptly to requests.
- Handle complaints or escalate to seniors when required.
Operational Responsibilities
Set up and clear tables as per hotel / restaurant standards.Maintain cleanliness and hygiene at the restaurant, including cutlery, crockery, and service stations.Assist in buffet setup, replenishment, and clearance.Support in billing procedures and cash handling as per guidelines.Follow opening and closing checklists.Coordination & Communication
Coordinate with kitchen, stewarding, and bar teams for smooth service.Maintain effective communication with team members.Update the supervisor / manager about guest feedback and operational issues.Upselling & Revenue Generation
Suggestive selling of menu items, promotions, and signature dishes.Support in achieving daily and monthly revenue targets.Compliance & Safety
Follow all F&B service SOPs.Adhere to HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards.Ensure proper grooming and uniform standards at all times.Skills & Qualifications :
Diploma / degree in hospitality preferred (not mandatory).0–2 years of experience in F&B service (freshers with good attitude may apply).Good communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of restaurant service, table setup, and basic F&B terminology.Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
