1 in 5 people suffer from hearing loss, yet care remains siloed and hard to access. As a result, hundreds of millions don't get the help they need and deserve. We're fixing that. We're building an AI-native platform that equips leading hearing care professionals with cutting-edge software to deliver better outcomes, faster.

Open Hearing was founded by Harvard MBAs with firsthand experience building and scaling B2B and B2C unicorns in India. We bring together deep expertise across hearing care, product, and engineering to tackle one of the most overlooked problems in healthcare. We’re combining modern software and generative AI to empower providers and patients with tools that improve outcomes and reduce friction-at scale.

What You’ll Work On

As our Full Stack Developer, you’ll be part of the founding team building core product experiences and AI-native features from scratch.

Build core products for clinicians and patients-web and mobile
Develop customized generative AI capabilities for hearing care.
Own features end-to-end : from architecture and APIs to user interfaces
Design scalable backend systems and thoughtful frontend experiences
Collaborate with product, clinical, and AI teams
Shape our engineering culture, best practices, and roadmap

What We're Looking For

We’re looking for someone who thrives in early-stage environments, cares deeply about impact, and builds with both speed and intention.

Must-haves :

Strong proficiency in React, Java, and PostgreSQL (or similar)

Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)

Strong product sense and attention to user experience

Preferred :

Experience building AI-native applications

Strong understanding of Next.js

Understanding of genAI orchestration, evaluation frameworks, and RAG pipelines

Familiarity with tools like Whisper, LangChain, or LLM hosting (e.g., SageMaker, Vertex AI)

Exposure to transcription, medical documentation, or clinical workflows
