Quality Council of India (QCI) is the apex Quality body in the country, in partnership with the Indian industry. It is an independent autonomous organization created by the Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce & Industry. QCI leads a nationwide quality movement in India by involving all stakeholders, with emphasis on adherence to quality standards in products, systems, and services for promoting and protecting national interest and health and safety of its’ citizens. QCI plays a pivotal role in propagating, adopting, and adherence to quality standards in spheres like education, healthcare, environment, governance, social sectors, infrastructure, and such other areas of organized activities that have a significant bearing in improving the quality of life of the citizens and economic development of the Nation.

QCI’s Project Planning & Implementation Division (PPID) is assembling a dynamic team for a national initiative to strengthen quality and quantity assurance across India’s food supply chain : from procurement to distribution.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and own a national-level initiative focused on strengthening the quality and quantity assurance mechanisms across India’s food supply chain ecosystem.
- Plan, execute, and monitor multi-state project activities ensuring adherence to timelines, methodology, and quality benchmarks.
- Engage strategically with senior officials, Secretary, Joint Secretary and allied government agencies to drive alignment, field access, and decision-making.
- Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team of professionals Experts, Associate Managers, Analysts, and Field Coordinators : fostering accountability and collaboration.
- Ensure output excellence : maintain analytical depth, policy relevance, and impeccable quality across all reports and deliverables.
- Oversee data validation and synthesis, ensuring insights are accurate, actionable, and aligned with the study objectives.
- Prepare, present, and defend progress updates, key findings, and recommendations before senior leadership and partner institutions.
- Drive continuous improvement : identify bottlenecks, anticipate risks, and institute process corrections in real time.
Desired Skills & Competencies
Proven ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder government or consulting projects.Strong grounding in project management, public systems, and supply chain evaluation.Exceptional stakeholder management, negotiation, and presentation skills, equally confident with field officers and policymakers.Sharp analytical thinking with an eye for data integrity, quality systems, and process discipline.High tolerance for ambiguity; thrives under tight timelines and evolving scopes.Excellent written and verbal communication skills : Clarity is your Superpower.Experience & Qualification
Experience : 7–10 years in project management, consulting, evaluation, or public policy implementation (experience with food systems, logistics, or quality assurance projects preferred).Qualification : Postgraduate in Management, Public Policy, Economics, or related fields preferred.The Mindset That Fits This Role
