Job Description
The main responsibility of an Export and Import Manager is to foresee the movement of goods between the home country and other countries. EXIM Managers should manage the import coming to the home country as well as exporting of goods going out of the home country along with the general duties at office. It is also essential to keep in touch with freight forwarders professionals from logistics companies' retailer units and manufacturers. The environment in which an export import manager working is rapidly changing and is very fast paced.
Primary Responsibilities.
- Should prepare and Handle Documentation.
- Liase with Banks on payments and EBRCs.
- Liase with Port authorities.
- Handle bulk as well as containerised shipments.
- Liase with Lines, Forwarders and transporters on shipment despatches.
- Evolve strategies for cost reduction, on-time performance and adhere to all regulatory compliances.
- Prepare MIS reports. Knowledge of Licenses application and Discharge.
Skills
Should be proficient with Customs Procedures and Requirement for Filing / Handling Imports and Exports, Licensing, etcWell aware of different schemes and Clearances and Classification of goods.Good understanding of sales and marketing strategiesKnowledge about budget management, international trade and taxationsAbility to easily comprehend and organize shipment processesQualification
Bachelor's degree in any stream, and possess 7to 10 years of related experienceExperience of working at least 2 years in handling customs formalities of imports and exports at any good company and should have handled at least 50 teus / monthGood track record with Customs & DGFT is a must
