Role Description

Hardware Specialist, with work based in Bengaluru, The Hardware Specialist will be primarily responsible for hardware development, designing circuits, and creating and implementing hardware architecture. Day-to-day tasks involve overseeing the functionality of computer hardware systems, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring high performance and reliability of hardware components.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in Hardware Development and Hardware Architecture
  • Strong skills in Circuit Design and Computer Hardware
  • Experience in hardware analysis, testing, and optimization
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical hardware issues
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Technical certifications in relevant hardware technologies are an advantage
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a hybrid work environment

Responsibilities :

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues (motherboard, RAM, storage, GPU, cooling, peripherals, etc.) for both desktops and laptops.
  • Identify and resolve software-related issues : OS installation / reinstallation, driver updates, graphics drivers, gaming-related software / OS conflicts, performance tuning.
  • Assist users / gamers with system optimization — e.g., recommended configurations, performance tuning, driver updates, cooling / thermals, etc.
  • Provide support via remote chat / email / phone or on-site (depending on business model), interact with users / customer queries, and communicate solutions clearly in English / Hindi.
  • Maintain logs of issues and resolutions; maintain inventory / tracking of hardware if needed.
  • Work in coordination with vendors / third-party / other teams when escalations are needed.
  • Stay up to date with latest gaming hardware trends, GPU / CPU / driver updates and compatibility issues.
  • Requirements / Qualifications :

  • Diploma / Bachelor’s in Computer Science / IT / Electronics / or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of PC and laptop hardware (assembling, upgrading, replacing components).
  • Proficient in operating system installation & configuration (Windows, drivers), software troubleshooting, driver management.
  • Ability to troubleshoot both hardware and software issues.
  • Good understanding of gaming-specific hardware / software demands (GPUs, thermals, driver updates, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills — fluent in English and Hindi.
  • Problem-solving mindset, patience, good customer-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
