Role

Roles & Responsibilities

 Develop and optimize CMM programs using Mcosmos,

Calypso, or other metrology software for first article, in-process,

and final inspections.

 Excellent Knowledge of three-dimensional geometry & General

CAD Knowledge

 Perform detailed dimensional inspections using CMMs and other

precision instruments to verify product conformity.

 Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T

(ASME Y14.5) to establish correct measurement strategies.

 Maintain and troubleshoot CMM equipment to ensure accurate,

consistent operation

 Ensure Quality of inspection methods

 To identify and fulfill resource requirements within the

department.

 Ensure regular startup checkpoints are carried

 Update Department objectives and communicate the deviations

to In-charge to initiate actions.

 Review of Quality objectives, Risk & opportunities & Contingency

plans

 Prepare work instructions for Lab Equipment's, Measuring

Instruments and Gauges and document them.

 Prepare data for Management Review Meeting.

 Define a plan of calibration for all Lab Equipment's

 To control the cost of consumables and spares(probes) by

avoiding breakages

 Ensuring less delay in inspection time of parts

 Regular monitoring of daily work management activities

 Ensure identification and removal of safety hazards and safety

hazards producing activities.

 Focus on Zero Environmental Incident,

 To facilitate QCC & Kaizen activities in Plant.

 Ensure implementation of good 5S on the shop floor &

housekeeping practices.
