About the Role

Sigma Airtech Engineers Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Accountant to join our in-house finance team. The candidate will be responsible for handling project-based accounting, vendor reconciliations, inter-branch transactions, statutory compliance, and supporting the finance lead in monthly financial closure and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

General Accounting & Bookkeeping

Maintain accurate books of accounts using Tally or ERP software.

Post journal entries, manage ledgers, and support month-end closures.

Maintain proper documentation and filing of invoices, bills, and supporting documents.

Reconciliation & Reporting

Perform bank, vendor, and inter-company reconciliations regularly.

Prepare and maintain project-wise costing and profitability statements.

Track advances, retentions, and mobilization amounts on a project basis.

Reconcile site expenses, material entries, and subcontractor bills.

Financial Reporting

Support in preparation of monthly / quarterly MIS reports, P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.

Assist the finance head in analysing cost deviations and budgeting variances.

Invoicing & Receivables

Raise client invoices in coordination with the billing team.

Maintain collections and payment follow-up records.

Coordinate with project teams for work certification and billing schedules.

Statutory Compliance

Ensure timely filing and payment of GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and professional tax.

Assist in preparation for internal and external audits by providing all necessary documentation.

Stay up to date with applicable taxation laws and financial regulations.

Stakeholder Coordination

Coordinate with site engineers, procurement teams, vendors, and clients for financial documentation.

Collaborate with purchase and operations teams to ensure accuracy in inventory and asset booking.

Process Improvements

Identify and implement automation or improvements in accounting and reporting processes.

Help digitize and standardize expense and project documentation formats.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Accounting

3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in EPC or project-based companies

Strong working knowledge of Tally ERP, MS Excel, and standard accounting practices

Good understanding of project billing cycles, taxation, and statutory compliance

Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in handling HVAC or Construction / Infrastructure project accounts

Familiarity with project-based costing systems and contractor accounting

Exposure to internal control audits and working with CA firms
