Job Description : Automation Salesforce Test Lead – Marketing & Sales Cloud

Role Overview
The Salesforce Test Lead will oversee all testing activities across Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Sales Cloud initiatives. The role involves defining test strategy, leading test execution, mentoring the QA team, and ensuring high-quality delivery. The candidate should have strong functional and technical knowledge of Salesforce, excellent communication skills, and proven leadership experience in agile environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and detailed test cases aligned to business and functional requirements.
- Define test scope, identify risks, and ensure overall alignment with project timelines and delivery milestones.
- Lead and manage all testing phases including functional, integration, regression, system, and performance testing for Salesforce applications.
- Validate Marketing Cloud journeys, campaigns, automations, segmentation logic, personalization rules, and Sales Cloud processes.
- Manage the entire defect lifecycle—logging, prioritizing, triaging, retesting, and ensuring timely closure.
- Design and implement automation frameworks to enhance regression and repetitive testing using Selenium, Playwright or similar tools.
- Improve automation coverage, optimize processes, and ensure repeatability across releases.
- Collaborate with developers, admins, business analysts, architects, project managers, and product owners to ensure test readiness and requirement clarity.
- Contribute to requirement discussions, sprint ceremonies, planning sessions, and UAT support.
- Mentor and guide QA team members, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards.
- Maintain complete documentation including test results, defect reports, traceability matrices, and release sign-offs.
Required Skills & Experience
8–10 years of QA experience, with at least 3+ years in Salesforce Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud testing.Strong understanding of Salesforce data model, workflows, integrations, APIs, and SOQL / SOSL.Hands-on experience validating campaigns, customer journeys, automations, lead / opportunity lifecycle, and Salesforce workflows.Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, PlaywrightStrong knowledge of Agile methodologies and sprint-based QA delivery.Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.Proven experience handling end-to-end QA ownership in complex Salesforce programs.Good to Have
Salesforce Certifications (Admin, Marketing Cloud Email Specialist, Sales Cloud Consultant).Exposure to CI / CD, DevOps, and automated execution pipelines.Prior experience with performance or API testing for Salesforce components.Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
