Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join our audit team, specializing in US real estate funds and commercial property audits. The role focuses on conducting independent reviews, evaluating internal controls, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering insights into fund structures and real estate operations. This is not a core accounting position but requires a strong understanding of financial processes, fund operations, and commercial real estate practices.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct audits of real estate funds, REITs, and commercial property portfolios in line with US standards and internal policies.

Evaluate fund structures, investor reporting, and compliance with GAAP, SEC, and regulatory requirements.

Review lease agreements, rent rolls, property management practices, and revenue recognition processes.

Assess internal controls, risk management frameworks, and operational processes related to real estate investments.

Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting findings, risks, and recommendations.

Liaise with fund managers, property managers, legal teams, and compliance officers to resolve audit issues.

Monitor adherence to fund covenants, partnership agreements, and investor obligations.

Stay current with real estate market trends, fund regulations, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Economics, or related field (CPA / CA / CIA a plus but not mandatory).

3–6 years of experience in real estate commercial audits, or financial services audit.

Strong knowledge of US real estate structures, funds, REITs, and investment vehicles.

Understanding of audit methodologies, risk assessment, and internal control frameworks.

Familiarity with fund operations, property management, and compliance regulations.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
