PRIMARY OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION

The Psychologist / Clinical Psychologist’s purpose is to work within the Cultural Safety & Wellbeing team to provide high level clinical consultations and therapeutic support to individuals and families to address mental health and wellbeing needs by :

• Providing psychological services and therapeutic support to individuals and groups, including to children, young people, and families.
• Conduct Psychological Assessments for clients of GAC.
• Provide clinical advice to GAC staff and managers about ethical and effective ways to address the mental health and wellbeing needs of clients.
• Contribute to the design, development, and evaluation of the GAC’s mental health and psychological programs and services.

The Cultural Safety & Wellbeing Team provides multidisciplinary case management and support to Aboriginal people residing in the South West of Victoria Aboriginal Communities as part of an integrated service response.
