- To enhance the existing risk reporting data warehouses, tools and technologies.
Roles and Responsibilities :
Responsibilities will include :
Contribute to the design and development of efficient data models, schemas and pipelinesWrite complex SQL queries, stored procedures and functions to extract, transform and load dataOptimize query performance to ensure data integrity and consistencyProviding database technology subject matter expertise, collaborating with risk stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutionsImplement data security measures and access controls aligned with firm’s governance policiesMonitor and troubleshoot data pipelines; identify performance bottlenecks and implement solutionsParticipate in code reviews and document change made in the required formatImplement and maintain CI / CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment and monitoring of data solutionsJob Requirements :
Bachelors’ Degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Experience in the financial services or banking industry is preferred.Essential :
Advanced proficiency in SQL including stored procedures, views, triggers and functionsSolid knowledge of data warehousing principles, dimensional modelling and star schema designExperience working with large data warehouses including performance tuning, query optimization and execution plan analysisFamiliarity with data integration tools (SSIS, ADF) and techniques (ELT, ETL)Experience of using Control-M or similar orchestration toolsPreferred :
Hands-on experience with reporting tools such as SSRS and Power BIFamiliarity with scripting languages (e.g. Python, Powershell) for data processing and automationExperience of working with risk systems within a financial institutionExperience with multiple database platforms e.g. SQL Server, Oracle and SnowFlakeFamiliarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practicesPersonal Requirements :
