Lecturer (EF) Rural, Clinical Skills & Simulation- Port Macquarie

UNSW Rural brings world-class medical education to rural and regional Australia, delivering the full 6-year medical course at our rural campuses across several locations. Face-to-face teaching is critical to rural program delivery as students build strong relationships with and benefit from more personal interaction with clinicians and other academics and become a part of the local medical community. UNSW's program has strongly supported the aims of the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care, Rural Health Multidisciplinary Training (RHMT) program for over 25-years, delivering excellence in rural medical education and student experience.
Details of the role
UNSW's Education Focussed (EF) roles enable academics to specialise in education and devote their time to delivering high-quality teaching and pursuing initiatives to enhance the educational experience of our students. Those who are appointed to this prestigious specialism will be expected to successfully drive educational excellence within the university's teaching and learning communities.
The role of Lecturer, Rural will be committed to high quality teaching with a demonstrated interest in local rural medical education, health issues and projects. This position holder will make a significant contribution to the undergraduate medical education program at the campus, with a strong focus on the application of 'Basic Sciences in Clinical Medicine' and / or 'Multidisciplinary Care and Clinical Skills Techniques and application' to deliver comprehensive patient care as a team in multi-disciplinary clinical environments.
The position of Lecturer reports to the Director of Medical Education at the identified campus and has no direct reports.

Skills Required
