We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Automation Service Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in PLC programming, drive systems, and SCADA systems. You will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of automation systems, ensuring seamless operations for our clients.
- Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of automation systems, including PLCs, drives, and SCADA systems.
- Maintain and optimize existing automation systems to ensure continuous operation and efficiency.
- Design, develop, and test PLC programs and HMI / SCADA screens for various automation systems.
- Provide on-site technical support and training to customers on automation systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations during service and installation tasks.
- Conduct system diagnostics and repairs on electrical, mechanical, and control system issues.
- Create detailed documentation of system configurations, service reports, and technical issues.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop solutions for system improvements and optimizations.
- Participate in system upgrades and retrofits to improve system performance and efficiency.
- Provide after-sales support and maintenance services for automation systems.
- Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automation, or a related field.
- Proven experience in automation engineering with hands-on experience in PLC programming, drive systems, and SCADA software.
- Familiarity with industrial control systems, including Allen Bradley, Siemens, or similar PLCs and drives.
- Knowledge of SCADA software such as Wonderware, Siemens, or other popular platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in both hardware and software issues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work directly with customers.
- Willingness to travel for on-site service and support as needed.
- Experience with networking and integration of automation systems is a plus.
- Preferred Skills
- Certification in automation and control systems.
- Experience in the installation and commissioning of automation systems in industrial settings.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet / IP.
- Work Environment
- The role may require frequent travel to customer sites for installations and support.
