We operate a multi-million-dollar fleet of specialised underground mining equipment across multiple operations and continents.
We are currently seeking expressions of interest for Underground Mining Superintendents to work in our Eastern States operations.
Duties :
- Attend mining Pre-Shift Meetings
- Monitor daily activities to ensure continuity of operations and that budget targets are achieved
- Ensure mining activities are conducted in a safe and efficient manner in keeping with client and Byrnecut targets and procedures.
- Attend daily production meetings reviewing previous and next 24 hours production and development data and / or requirements
- Attend scheduling meetings and review use of resources (including machinery and labour) to meet client and BAPL targets
- Review performance of personnel under your direction and make changes as appropriate.
- Ensure equipment is operated in a safe and effective manner, minimising misuse and damage whilst maximising performance.
- Schedule requirements in conjunction with maintenance, electrical and sub-contractor staff to ensure servicing completed in compliance with Byrnecut requirements.
- Ensure standards of work are maintained at the highest level, re-work is minimised, and good housekeeping standards are maintained.
- Manage upcoming labour requirements
- Assist with accident & incident investigations, ICAMS, initiating changes in procedures, equipment or behaviour as required.
Requirements :
WA or NSW Shift Supervisor Certificate preferable but not a pre-requisiteRelevant and extensive underground experienceHave a good understanding of general mining OHSClear and concise verbal skillsAbility to understand, interpret and follow mining plans and schedulesGood level of English reading and writing skillsAbility to work to deadlinesMaintain good relationships with other personnel, including workforce, sub-contractors and clientsDemonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe work environmentWe Offer :
