The Offshore IT Delivery Manager will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT initiatives from the India-based Center of Excellence (CoE), ensuring alignment with global business and technology objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery Management & Execution
Lead and manage multiple concurrent IT projects across application, infrastructure, and analytics domains.
Oversee end-to-end project lifecycle — from planning and estimation to delivery, QA, deployment, and post-implementation support.
Define and monitor KPIs, SLAs, and delivery metrics across CoE teams to ensure predictable execution.
Ensure all projects adhere to enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, and governance standards.
Drive effective use of Agile / Scrum / DevOps methodologies for delivery optimization.
Manage interdependencies, risks, and change requests while maintaining delivery timelines and budgets.
Stakeholder Management & Communication
Serve as the primary liaison between India CoE teams and U.S. IT / business leadership.
Conduct regular delivery reviews and provide transparent reporting on status, risks, and progress.
Collaborate with product owners, program managers, and business users to translate requirements into actionable project plans.
Communicate proactively and clearly across time zones, maintaining alignment between offshore and onshore teams.
Build strong relationships with U.S.-based executives, earning trust through consistency, ownership, and delivery excellence.
People Leadership & Team Development
Lead a multidisciplinary team of developers, engineers, analysts, and support staff within the CoE.
Drive resource planning, performance management, and career development across the team.
Foster a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Identify skill gaps and collaborate with HR to implement upskilling and certification programs (Microsoft, Azure, Agile, etc.).
Encourage knowledge sharing and best practices through CoE frameworks, playbooks, and training sessions.
CoE Operations & Governance
Implement and refine delivery frameworks, templates, and metrics for CoE operations.
Standardize project delivery processes across domains (app dev, data, infrastructure, support).
Ensure alignment of CoE outputs with global IT governance, compliance, and documentation standards.
Collaborate with U.S. delivery managers to maintain a unified, high-performing delivery ecosystem.
Support annual planning, budgeting, and workforce forecasting for India CoE operations.
Innovation, Automation & Continuous Improvement
Encourage adoption of modern delivery tools and platforms (Azure DevOps, Jira, ServiceNow).
Identify opportunities for automation, process optimization, and AI-based delivery insights.
Lead innovation initiatives that enhance productivity, quality, and speed-to-delivery.
Promote a mindset of “Global Excellence, Local Innovation.”
Operational & Financial Oversight
Track and manage project costs, utilization, and resource efficiency.
Monitor financial performance of CoE delivery units against forecast and budgets.
Drive cost optimization initiatives while maintaining quality and stakeholder satisfaction.
Maintain transparency through monthly dashboards and KPI reports.
Required Qualifications
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (MBA or PMP preferred).
Experience : 10–15 years of experience in IT project / delivery management, with at least 5 years leading offshore or global teams.
Technical & Domain Expertise
Strong understanding of Microsoft technology ecosystem (.NET, Azure, Power Platform, SQL Server, M365).
Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and cloud-native development practices.
Experience managing multi-technology delivery portfolios (App Dev, Infra, Data / BI, Collaboration).
Proficiency in using project management tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet).
Knowledge of ITIL and service delivery frameworks.
Understanding of manufacturing or industrial domain systems (ERP, MES, PLM, etc.) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications
PMP / PRINCE2 / Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP).
Microsoft Certified : Azure Administrator / Solutions Architect / Power Platform certifications.
Experience in setting up or scaling a CoE or captive IT center.
Exposure to vendor management and hybrid team models.
Prior experience in manufacturing, chemical, or engineering industries preferred.
Work Environment
Working Hours : U.S. Central or Eastern Time (approx. 2 : 00 PM – 11 : 00 PM IST).
