About The Opportunity

This hybrid-role is with a product-led engineering team designing and shipping production-grade Spring Boot microservices that support mission-critical, real-time communications workflows. You will design, implement and maintain backend services, improve system reliability and mentor peers to raise engineering standards across the stack.

Role & Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable Spring Boot microservices and RESTful APIs for high-throughput, low-latency systems.
• Develop robust data access layers using Spring Data / Hibernate and optimise SQL queries for PostgreSQL / MySQL.
• Drive CI / CD automation, create unit / integration tests (JUnit, Mockito) and maintain high test coverage and code quality.
• Collaborate with product and QA to convert requirements into reliable features and lead design reviews for new modules.
• Troubleshoot production incidents, profile performance hotspots and implement reliability improvements and observability instrumentation.
• Mentor junior engineers, define engineering best-practices and contribute to architecture decisions for microservices and data patterns.
