Ruby on Rails Developer

Position : Ruby on Rails (ROR) Developer

Location : Remote

Experience : 3 to 6 Years

Education : Bachelor’s in Computer Science / MCA or equivalent

Industry : SaaS

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Full Stack Developer with a strong foundation in Ruby on Rails and a keen interest in leveraging AI tools to enhance product functionality. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build, maintain, and enhance robust web applications. Your expertise in JavaScript (jQuery & React) , PostgreSQL , and GitHub workflows will be crucial to driving product development forward.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Ruby on Rails and ERB templates

Build and enhance front-end components using JavaScript , jQuery , and React

Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following best practices

Work with PostgreSQL for data modeling and efficient queries

Collaborate with team members via GitHub , managing branches, pull requests, and code reviews

Integrate and experiment with AI tools and APIs to deliver intelligent features

Troubleshoot and debug issues across the stack

Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technical decisions

Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails

Proficiency in ERB templating , HTML , CSS , and responsive design

Strong command of JavaScript , with experience in jQuery and React

Solid experience with PostgreSQL , including performance tuning and complex queries

Familiarity with Git / GitHub workflows and CI / CD processes

Working knowledge of AI tools / APIs (e.g., OpenAI, LangChain, Hugging Face) and how they can be integrated into web apps

Ability to write well-tested, well-documented code

Nice to Have

Experience with background job processing (Sidekiq, Resque)

Familiarity with Docker or containerized deployment

Exposure to Agile / Scrum methodologies

Interest in prompt engineering or ML / AI applications
