The Role : Credit Manager
As a Credit Manager at Supermoney, you will be at the heart of our mission driving credit evaluation and risk management both for our in-house NBFC and lending partners. You will be a critical pillar of our risk management framework, responsible for evaluating and underwriting credit proposals for our diverse supply chain finance programs. You will play a key role in balancing rapid business growth with the maintenance of a healthy and robust portfolio, directly contributing to our sustainable success.
Key Responsibilities :
Credit Underwriting : Conduct comprehensive credit appraisals and in-depth financial analysis of corporate anchors and their MSME partners (dealers, vendors).
Risk Assessment : Prepare detailed Credit Appraisal Memos (CAMs), highlighting key risks, mitigants, and presenting recommendations for sanctioning to senior management and credit committees.
Policy & Process : Assist in the development, implementation, and refinement of credit policies and underwriting frameworks to ensure they are robust and scalable.
Portfolio Management : Continuously monitor the health of the allocated portfolio, track covenant compliance, and identify early warning signals to mitigate potential risks.
Stakeholder Collaboration : Work closely with the Business Development, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure seamless deal structuring, documentation, and disbursement while maintaining TAT.
Industry Analysis : Stay updated on industry trends, economic indicators, and regulatory changes to inform credit decisions and strategy.
Qualifications & Skills :
Experience : 2-6 years of proven experience in SME credit underwriting and risk management, preferably within a Bank, NBFC, or a leading Fintech.
Domain Expertise : Direct experience in underwriting Supply Chain Finance, Dealer Finance, Vendor Finance, or other SME loan products is highly desirable.
Analytical Prowess : Strong ability to analyze financial statements, crunch numbers, and build financial models to assess creditworthiness.
Technical Skills : Proficient in MS Office with the ability to present findings clearly to senior stakeholders.
Mindset : A proactive, detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple priorities and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Education :
CA (Chartered Accountant) or MBA in Finance from a reputed institution.
