Role Details
We are looking for a dedicated Education Support Officer to join our supportive and collaborative teaching and learning team at St Joseph’s School Tranmere!
28.75 hours per week term time (8.45am to 3pm Monday to Friday)
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting students in small groups and 1 : 1 settings to support learning across all curriculum areas
- Supporting a safe, orderly, and successful learning environment through the implementation of behavioural management strategies
- Supervising and caring for students with formally identified special needs, following Personalised Plans for Learning (PPL)
- Providing support for students identified to require Continence Care support, such as students with disabilities, additional or special needs, providing personal care such as, but not limited to, continence care according to the needs of individual students
- Providing instruction to students within a structured learning environment
About You
You are passionate about education, possess strong organisational skills, and can adapt and contribute to a dynamic learning environment. You have : -
A Certificate IV or Diploma in Education Support (or equivalent)The successful applicant will be required to attend continence care trainingPrevious experience in supporting student learning in a school settingExperience in implementing learning intervention programs such as MiniLit or be willing to undertake trainingStrong organisational and communication skillsThe ability and desire to be a team player, offering flexibility and willingness to support othersSound interpersonal and teamwork skills, able to work successfully, flexibly, and collaboratively with othersThe ability to work under direction, follow instructions and use initiativeDemonstrated ability to maintain confidentialityThe preferred candidate will be required to undergo screening :
A current Catholic Police Check or DCSI screeningCertification in Responding to Risk of Harm, Abuse, and Neglect – Education and CareA valid First Aid CertificateAbout Us
