Job Summary :
The Country Manager for India will lead company's commercial operations within the country, overseeing a team of five professionals.
This role holds full accountability for driving sales strategy, market expansion, and business development, while acting as the key liaison between company management and local partners, providers, and manufacturers.
The Country Manager will also lead project management initiatives implementing new business opportunities, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall strategy and growth objectives.
Main Responsibilities :
Market Trend & Competitive Intelligence
- Analyze local macroeconomic conditions, automotive market dynamics, competitor activities, OEM programs, consumer behavior, and regulatory environment to identify market trends and opportunities.
Sales Strategy & Execution
Support the development and implementation of the sales strategy and objectives aligned with the country’s business approach, focusing on go-to-market and channel strategies.Develop sales resource planning and budgeting to optimize market penetration.Identify and execute key actions to expand the customer base and increase wallet share with existing clients.Maintain close coordination with supply chain and marketing teams to ensure product availability and effective use of marketing budgets.Sales Coordination & Key Account Management
Lead and coordinate the local salesforce, ensuring continuous development and performance monitoring of the sales organization.Manage relationships with key accounts and top customers, acting as the primary point of contact.Business Execution & Financial Management
Monitor forecasting processes, ensuring achievement of sales targets and customer satisfaction.Oversee stock and channel management, customer portfolio development, and cost optimization efforts.Manage customer payment statements and debt exposure, initiating corrective actions on days sales outstanding (DSO) as needed.Project Management
Lead and coordinate business development projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with company goals.Serve as the main counterpart between company’s management and local providers / manufacturers for project execution.Identify and drive new business opportunities through structured project planning and stakeholder engagement.People Management
Provide oversight, guidance, and professional development support for team members, fostering skills enhancement and competency growth through training initiatives.Manage team performance in alignment with organizational policies and procedures.Government & Regulatory Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with local, state, and national authorities to ensure smooth regulatory compliance, secure necessary permits, and leverage connections with public institutions to explore business opportunities.Key Competencies :
Strong commercial acumen and business understanding in the automotive or tire industry.Proven leadership and people management skills with experience managing small teams.Ability to analyze market dynamics, competitive intelligence, and regulatory frameworks.Experience in sales strategy development, key account management, and channel development.Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.Financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and debt management.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Up to 10 years of experience.Knowledge of local language and English.Experience in the tire sector is a plus.What We Offer :
