Job description

Key Responsibilities :

  • Linux OS Administration : Perform comprehensive administration, configuration, and maintenance of Linux operating systems, ensuring high availability, security, and optimal performance.
  • Red Hat Satellite Management : Manage and utilize Red Hat Satellite for efficient system provisioning, content management, and centralized patching of Linux servers.
  • Patch Management : Design and implement robust patching strategies for Linux environments, ensuring timely application of security updates and bug fixes while minimizing service disruption.
  • Identity Management (IDM) : Administer and support Identity Management solutions (e.g., FreeIPA, Red Hat IdM) for user authentication, authorization, and centralized identity services.
  • Scripting & Automation : Develop, maintain, and execute scripts (e.g., Bash, Python) for automating routine administrative tasks, system deployments, configuration management, and troubleshooting.
  • Troubleshooting & Support : Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution for complex issues related to Linux OS, applications, and integrated services.
  • Performance Monitoring : Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies.
  • Collaboration : Work collaboratively with other IT teams, including network, security, and development, to support infrastructure projects and resolve cross-functional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience : 7 to 9 years of dedicated experience as a Linux Administrator.
  • Linux OS : Strong understanding and hands-on expertise in Linux operating systems, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
  • Red Hat Satellite : Proven experience with Red Hat Satellite for system management and patching.
  • Patching : Good understanding and practical experience with patching methodologies and tools for Linux environments.
  • Identity Management : Experience with IDM (Identity Management) solutions in a Linux context.
  • Scripting : Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation and system administration.
  • Troubleshooting : Excellent troubleshooting and debugging capabilities for Linux OS and related services.
  • Communication : Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred
