JOB DESCRIPTION
Title – Head Talent Acquisition
Location – HO Mumbai (Frequent travel to plant)
Reporting To – Executive Vice President and CHRO
Team Size – Managing a team of 12-15 Members across Plant & Corporate
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in HR Business or related field; MBA / PGDM preferred.
- 15–20 years of experience in talent acquisition with at least 5 years in a strategic or leadership capacity.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise-wide TA strategies across diverse business units and geographies.
- Deep understanding of the talent landscape employer branding and digital talent acquisition tools.
- Exposure to leadership hiring strategic workforce planning and transformation initiatives.
Core responsibilities
Driving the full spectrum of recruiting and selection activities.Implementing and leading significant initiatives to construct career websites incorporating hiring tools developing staff training programs and developing focused business plans.Leverage technology AI-enabled tools and advanced analytics for sourcing assessment and decision-making.Embed diversity goals into strategic hiring plans and leadership succession pipeline.Designing and driving the adoption of consistent recruiting interviewing and hiring practices that support a strong candidate experience.Design and implement a structured campus hiring program.Collaborate with HR teams to solve complex hiring problems that address evolving high-priority business needs.Build strong relationships with academic institutions and industry bodies to enhance Polycab’s campus presence.Identifying and partnering with external providers to ensure hiring needs are met.Defining and driving the team to meet and exceed hiring benchmarks relating to time to fill cost per hire diversity hiring and hiring manager and candidate satisfaction.Defining and leading projects focused on continuous improvement.Implement improvements to boost candidate experience in the future.Staying up to date with industry trends best practices and emerging recruitment technologies incorporating innovative approaches into Polycab’s talent acquisition efforts.Leverage data and feedback to continuously improve campus selection diversity and conversion metrics.Provide support in the implementation of HR policies procedures and best practices.Establish performance metrics and dashboards to track effectiveness efficiency and experience outcomes.Participate in industry events to increase brand visibility.Partnering with leaders within the organization to track the ongoing hiring needs of their business.Managing end-to-end recruitment for senior roles.Success Indicators

Proven experience in talent acquisition with a track record in end-to-end hiring including campus and Executive leadership.Demonstrated leadership and team management skills capable of inspiring and motivating to achieve recruitment goals.Strong strategic vision and ability to align talent acquisition strategies with the organization's business objectives.Expertise in talent sourcing attracting top-tier candidates and developing a strong talent pipeline.Prior experience in employer branding initiatives and promoting the organization as an employer of choice.Data-driven decision-making skills with the ability to analyse recruitment metrics and optimize recruitment processes.Stakeholder Management
Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders on talent market insights hiring strategies and workforce trends.Collaborate with HR COEs (L&D Compensation HRBP) to ensure seamless onboarding and integration.Advises HR leadership and business leadership on local legal / regulatory requirements.Key Skills
