Job Title : L2 Support Engineer (Field Support)

Work Mode : Onsite / Field Support
Job Summary :
The L2 Support Engineer will be responsible for field support, implementation, and troubleshooting of IT infrastructure environments, including virtualization platforms, server hardware, operating systems, and network devices.
Key Responsibilities :
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot VMware ESXi hosts and clusters.
- Manage VMware vCenter and Microsoft Hyper-V environments.
- Configure VMware HA, DRS, vMotion, and related clustering technologies.
- Install and troubleshoot Cisco switches, VLANs, and basic networking.
- Administer Windows Server environments including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies.
- Install, configure, and manage Linux systems.
- Perform server hardware installation and RAID configuration.
- Provide support for Windows 10 / 11 client systems.
- Work with backup solutions for backup and restore operations (if required).
- Document configurations and provide field support reports to clients.
Must-Have Skills :
Hands-on experience with VMware and Hyper-V.Knowledge of vCenter and virtualization cluster configurations.Experience with Cisco switch configuration.Strong understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Management.Linux administration experience.Server hardware installation and RAID setup.Client OS troubleshooting (Windows 10 / 11).Good to Have :
Experience with backup software like Veeam, Commvault, Veritas, Acronis, etc.Basic scripting using PowerShell or Bash.Candidate Profile :
Around 10 years of relevant field or L2 support experience.Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.Willingness to travel to client locations within Mumbai.
