Desired Competencies (Technical / Behavioral Competency)
Must-Have
- AIX System Administrator responsible for executing daily service delivery of planning, organizing, evaluating, troubleshooting, installing and tuning of multiple large AIX systems in a centralized data center environment. - Strong emphasis and demonstration of administration skills will be evaluated in the following areas : Administration skills with large IBM / AIX p5 and p6 Pseries systems including p595, p570 and p550 systems; - LPAR configuration administration and experience; - HACMP, VCS, VIO, Virtualization, Micro-Partitioning, administration and experience - SAN experience in a multi-fabric, multi-path fiber channel environment of Cisco 9509 MDS switches; - Experience with large IBM ESS8xx, DS81xx, DS83xx, EMC Clarion and CX380 units utilizing a multi-tiered storage design; - Disaster recovery experience including data replication technologies - Patching and scripting skills - Strong knowledge of OS fundaments for AIX - Practical experience in IBM Network Installation Manager (NIM), Logical Volume Manager (LVM), NFS, performance monitoring utilities and other core UNIX commands - Experience in SCSI, SSA, LTO and DLT tape drive and automated tape library technologies - Solid understanding of disk system concepts (RAID design, LUN creation, data replication) is needed - Experience writing scripts and procedures for day-to-day operations - Preferred working experience in middleware support like IBM Websphere. -

1 Providing 24x7 supports to customer environment
2 Responsible for Alert Management, Incident Management, Change Management and Problem Management
3 Monitoring troubleshoot and resolve P1,P2,P3 and P4 incident tickets
4 Assisting Users located in USA, coordinating with different vendors
