About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Manual Tester with a strong background in the insurance domain and hands-on experience in API testing, Postman, and Datadog. The ideal candidate brings a developer mindset, understands business workflows, and ensures high-quality product delivery through meticulous testing and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute manual test cases for insurance-related applications.

Perform functional, regression, and integration testing across multiple systems.

Conduct API testing using Postman to validate request / response structures, payloads, and error handling.

Use Datadog for monitoring application performance, logs, and issue tracking.

Collaborate closely with developers, BAs, and product owners to understand business requirements and edge cases.

Participate in defect triage meetings, track issues, and ensure timely resolution.

Contribute to test documentation — including test plans, cases, and reports.

Apply a developer mindset to identify potential root causes of issues proactively.

Support UAT and production validation when needed.

Must-Have Skills

5+ years of experience in manual testing

Strong understanding of insurance domain processes (policy, claims, underwriting, etc.)

Hands-on experience with API testing tools like Postman

Exposure to Datadog for monitoring and debugging

Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and defect lifecycle

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Ability to work in an agile, fast-paced environment

Good-to-Have Skills

Basic knowledge of SQL queries for backend data validation

Experience in automation or willingness to upskill

Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools

Exposure to performance testing or security testing concepts
