Job description

Job Description

  • Assist in sourcing and procuring materials, equipment, and services for construction projects.
  • Obtain quotations from vendors and negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders accurately and ensure timely approvals.
  • Track and monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and vendor details.
  • Liaise with project teams to understand material requirements.
  • Assist in evaluating vendor performance and building strong supplier relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
  • Support in resolving any procurement-related issues, such as delivery delays or material discrepancies.

Requirements

Educational Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
  • Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Technical Skills :

  • Basic understanding of procurement and purchasing processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and Word).
  • Familiarity with inventory management or procurement software (desirable but not mandatory).
  • Soft Skills :

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with vendors and internal teams.
  • Negotiation skills to secure the best deals with suppliers.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.
  • Attention to detail to ensure precision in purchase orders, invoices, and documentation.
  • Time management skills to handle deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
