Job description

Our client is seeking an Automation Engineer in India for a 6-month contract opportunity. This is a remote role.

Professional Experience

4+ years in QA or software development, including :

  • 2+ years focused on building, maintaining, and executing automated tests in enterprise environments
  • Proven ability to design / manage automation frameworks for UI, API, performance, and regression

Demonstrated experience with :

  • Appium (mobile), Postman (API)
  • Scripting : Python, Java, JavaScript / TypeScript, C#, or Shell
  • Source control & integration : Git, GitHub
  • CI / CD : Azure DevOps, GitLab, or Bamboo
  • Reporting & test runners : Allure, TestNG, JUnit, Zephyr (integration)

    • Core competencies :

  • Automation design patterns, BDD / TDD
  • Data-driven / keyword-driven suites
  • Environment config & virtualized / containerized execution (Docker, Selenium Grid, BrowserStack)
  • Strong troubleshooting and analysis
  • Collaboration in Agile / DevOps teams
  • Clean, reusable code and maintainable framework design

    • Certifications

    Required (at least one) :

  • ISTQB Certified Tester – Test Automation Engineer
  • Selenium WebDriver certification (reputable provider)
  • Certified Agile Tester (CAT)
