About the Role :

We are seeking a dedicated Account Executive to oversee financial operations, including monthly reporting, compliance (GST, TDS, VAT), and accounts reconciliation for India and UAE. In this role, you will ensure accurate record-keeping using Zoho, support audit processes, and manage accounts receivable and payable. With strong analytical skills, accounting expertise, and a proactive mindset, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining efficient financial management and contributing to special projects as required.

What you will deliver :

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including the Profit and Loss statement and Balance Sheet, for both India and UAE operations.
  • Generate and record revenue invoices daily, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Oversee payment processes and manage vendor-related activities effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including GST, TDS, and VAT, for India and UAE on a regular basis.
  • Provide support during audits by maintaining accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Maintain and update the books of accounts daily in Zoho software for both India and UAE businesses.
  • Ensure accurate recording of sales transactions and implement robust systems to address discrepancies, while preparing detailed financial reports.
  • Perform cash and bank reconciliations regularly.
  • Handle monthly accruals, prepaid allocations, and the timely closure of financial books.
  • Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable efficiently.
  • Implement an effective system for invoicing and tracking debtors, ensuring regular monitoring and follow-ups.
  • Maintain the purchasing system, reconcile creditor statements, and address any related queries promptly.
  • Assist in closing monthly accounts in compliance with IFRS and support the Head of Finance during audits.
  • Prepare and submit GST and TDS returns for the India business on time, and support VAT-related processes for the UAE business.

Must Haves for the Role :

  • Seeking a driven, confident, and professional individual with excellent communication, organizational, and analytical abilities.
  • Background as a CA Intern, preferably with experience in a CA firm or a marketing agency.
  • Postgraduate qualification with 4-5 years of experience in accounting and finance.
  • At least 4 years of hands-on experience in filing GST, TDS, and VAT returns.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software, particularly Zoho.
  • Demonstrated accounting expertise, ideally gained in an accounting firm or industry role.
  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of accounting principles, standards, and procedures.
  • Engage in event-related projects and tasks as needed on an ad-hoc basis.
