Principle Responsibilities
- Designing and implementing Red Hat OpenShift clusters in both on-premises and hybrid multi cloud (Public and Private) environments, including handling upgrades, commissioning, advanced storage, and networking configurations
- Work with customers to understand business and infrastructure requirements, translating them into technical solutions on OCP
- OpenShift installation hands-on experience in both On-Prem and Public Cloud
- Implement security best practices, disaster recovery, and high availability
- Manage authentication and multi-tenancy and ensure compliance
- Contributes to and supports the corporate Enterprise Container Strategy by Identifying ideas to improve system performance and impact availability
- Integrate CI / CD pipelines, ArgoCD, automation tools, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions (Ansible, Terraform) for efficient and repeatable deployments
- Assist in change management of container platform for new versions of OpenShift, Hotfixes, SysAdmin tasks, etc.
- Design and deploy automated containers and virtualization platforms using OpenShift by addressing networking, storage and security Infrastructure
- Guide migration, integration and management of traditional virtual machines (Linux and Windows) alongside containerized workloads with OpenShift clusters
- Create, clone, and manage VMs, including using VM templates for rapid deployment and creating snapshots for backups.
- Configuring Kubernetes networking to connect VMs to external networks, manage network policies, and implement load balancing.
- Set up and manage Kubernetes storage (PersistentVolumeClaims) for VM disks.
- Configure health probes for VMs and manage their lifecycle, including rescheduling VMs during node failure
- Perform updates and maintenance on OpenShift worker nodes and OpenShift Virtualization components.
- Provides L2 / L3 engineering support
- Authors / edits system documentation / playbook(s), etc.,.
- Partners with experienced team members & stake holders to develop accurate work estimates on work packages.
- Guide teams in OCP adoption and best practices, and prepare comprehensive architectural and operational documentation
Must Have
Experience with container platforms, especially OCP with hands-on expertise in deployment, management, and upgrade pathsProficiency in RedHat OpenShift Container Platform & Kubernetes Administration, Linux, virtualization (e.g., KVM), and CNCF tools (e.g., Calico, Helm)Experience with OpenShift Virtualization, KubeVirt and Core Linux administrationKnowledge of OCP security features and enterprise compliance practicesExperience with Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, and DevOps methodology implementation
